First incarnation and true form of Naraku.  As a thief fifty years ago, Onigumo suffered severe injuries that left him paralyzed and bandaged from head to toe.  Both Kikyo and Kaede cared for him during this time, making him as comfortable as they could as Onigumo waited for death, musing about how beautiful the Shikon no Tama would look if it were corrupted.  He loved Kikyo.  One night, when the Miko and her sister were away, Onigumo was attacked and devoured by a hoard of youkai.  Their powers and his hatred for his situation fused together into the form he held for the longest time as he tormented Kikyo, Inuyasha, Kagome and the rest of the gang.  He became Naraku.
