An enigmatic youkai creation that was responsible for the curse to Miroku’s family, who caused Inuyasha and Kikyo to betray each other, and who took control of Kohaku’s mind.  He uses puppet youkai and weak-minded individuals to carry out mayhem in his name, never revealing himself to his enemies.  He wears the skin of a white baboon when he does venture out into the land, retreating to the safety of his hideout when things don’t go quite according to his plans.  He wants the Shikon no Tama to corrupt and make him the most powerful being in the Universe.
